Situated in a former warehouse in one of Route 9's ubiquitous strip malls, Minado's bright, high-ceilinged dining room offers seating for the largest of groups and clear walking lanes, even when it's filled with large groups. Kid-friendly pricing (those under two-and-a-half feet eat free) makes this a family favorite. Dutiful servers are quick to clear used plates, while buffet-station workers are pleased to explain any unfamiliar dishes.

The food is always excellent, though sometimes it doesn't go smoothly. You won't always get bread (sometimes you get it as soon as you're seated, other times you just don't), but don't worry, it's some peculiar Rye that's very good. The burgers are good but the chef can over cook; if you bring this up with your waitperson they usually clear it up. Often they will get you a new burger (although I imagine most folks are too impatient for that) or getting comped the overcooked burger. The place is packed on weekends, and the fries are excellent.

A steak house which is best known as the origin of the recipe for the Ken's Steak House brand of salad dressings (another, separate company, Ken's Foods, now manufactures those dressings). This family-owned restaurant has operated at this location since 1941. If they still serve lunch or dinner that's what I recommend! [1]

Dowse Orchards is a great place for families in the Boston area to come and visit. Come and learn of our agriculture and history, as they have been operating in the Sherborn location for 200 years and are a Massachusetts Century Farm. Dowse Farm produces apples, vegetables, greenhouse Crops, flowers, christmas trees and pumpkins, to name just a few. We have operated a roadside farm stand for more than 60 years, selling the products we raise on a seasonal basis.
Today's farms are becoming more diversified, and our farm now offers more than just fruit and vegetables. You will find brilliant spring flowers grown in our greenhouses, a wide selection of popular perennials, seasonal fresh harvest vegetables, our many kinds of apples, and the freshest Christmas trees ready for you to cut. Our Farm Stand also offers maple syrup, our own line of preserves, gift baskets, sweet apple cider pressed fresh every week, and of course our apples. McIntosh, Cortland, and Macoun are among the many favorites of the more than 20 varieties we raise.
Our season starts in May with annuals and flowers grown in our greenhouses, and fresh vegetables from the gardens soon follow. In September we offer pumpkins by the thousands, hardy mums for all your decorations, and our fields are open for Pick-Your-Own apples. The Cider Mill is in full operation squeezing fresh apples into the best tasting fresh cider you can find. In December we finish our season with Christmas trees and Holiday Baskets. Come and join in the fun - enjoy a cup of homemade hot mulled cider while you select your Christmas tree from the field where it grows. We also schedule school tours for area children during the fall and provide information about our farm and the tools we need to operate it, including information about modern pest control methods known as IPM.
So when you visit the Boston area, remind yourself to stop by Dowse Orchards and our roadside farm stand. You are sure to enjoy the visit and the many products we have to offer! We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and will come back often to check on our progress and the development of our crops.

With its standing-room only crowds of noisy families and young couples filling the colorful dining areas and welcoming bar, a weekend visit to Firefly's is not for the faint of heart. Those looking for a more relaxed environment in which to enjoy the restaurant's award-winning barbecue stop by on much calmer weeknights, or take their food to go. Overwhelmed servers try their best to keep the clamorous masses content.
Take notice of the restaurant's two all you can eat specials: unlimited chicken and ribs on Monday nights, and a barbecue buffet brunch on Sundays (from 11:30am-2:30pm). The bar features $2 pints of PBR at all times.
